Julia Harrell earned her undergraduate degree from Villanova University. She received her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Maryland, and wrote her thesis on character education in the elementary school setting. She went on to study theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville, graduating with her MA.
Julia began her teaching career in 2003, working in a variety of settings and grade levels. During that time, she also did part-time work in curriculum writing and development. After the birth of her first child in 2013, Julia left her teaching job to stay at home. Her first book, How to Be a Hero: Train With the Saints, was published by Pauline Books & Media in March 2017. Julia has contributed to various blogs and publications. She writes about culture, theology, ethics, education, and books.
