Julia Harrell earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Villanova University, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2002. She received her Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Maryland in 2003, and wrote her thesis on character education in the elementary school setting. She went on to study theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville, graduating with her MA in 2008.
Julia began her teaching career in 2003, working in a variety of settings and grade levels. During that time, she also did part-time work in curriculum writing and development. After the birth of her first child in 2013, Julia left her teaching job to stay at home. Her first book, How to Be a Hero: Train With the Saints, will be published by Pauline Books & Media in March 2017. Julia has contributed to various blogs and publications. She writes about theology, education, books, faith, parenting, and kids.
